temperature shifts

It's kinda crazy to think that I went from shorts and tank tops back to tights and sweaters in just a week. It kinda bummed me out to wake up on Monday to rain and under 50 degrees. But that's life I guess. Hopefully it'll warm up in the next few weeks so I feel like it's actually spring and not just a continuation of January and February....

I'm still trying to get used to my hair. I love the color, but I feel like I can't wear certain colors as successfully anymore. I'll keep experimenting and hopefully things will just adjust. April starts tomorrow though! I'm so excited! I got an Easter Box in the mail from my mum today. There's like 10 boxes of Peeps in there. I laughed when I opened it after class. I definitely brought back memories. :]
Target crew neck sweater (it's navy, but you can't really tell in the pictures....)
Forever 21 skirt & locket

Spring Break (Part 2)

So here's part two of my spring break adventures. For the second half of the week, we drove back up to school and stopped in different cities. We spent an afternoon in San Francisco, spent the night in Sacramento, and stayed in Portland before heading back up to Spokane on the last day. It was four days of extra craziness.

At a little rest/look at the view spot in central California off the 5 where we let Phil out of the car to stretch his legs.
American Eagle top
Alloy cardigan
Target jean shorts
white Blowfish flats
giant wind turbines outside San Francisco
We mainly just hung out around the Wharf.
Mod Cloth purse
We went to the antique coin-operated arcade and played around with all the fun stuff in there. You know, arm wrestled some machines and what-not.

I stayed with my best friend in Sacramento that day and dyed my hair while watching this movie about gansta vampires in the hood.
Chelsea and I had breakfast and caught up before I met back up with everyone to drive up to Portland the next day. We had pumpkin cupcakes and french fries for breakfast.... it was delicious.
I immortalized us on the bathroom wall at the cafe we got coffee from.
THAT'S MY BEST FRIEND!!!! Her car got in a little accident, so she got a band-aide for him. Oh, Best Friend. How I love her. :]
Had In-N-Out in Redding.
Forever 21 cardigan
Pac Sun skinny jeans
tank top from a boutique on Balboa Island
white Blowfish flats
acted like dorks in front of the sign for Weed, CA for a friend....
I'm IN LOVE with Powell's. I think I might need to move to Portland to experience it every day. It is my Mecca.
Oliver was our tour guide for the day.
Forever 21 cardigan
orange striped shirt from Old Navy
5-Hour Energy Pact. That shit tastes nasty and doesn't work and is way too expensive. But it was a group thing....
driving Lelsy back to Montana
Oh, school. You're break messages on the marquee are so amazing.
So that was my spring break. I really needed this trip. Now I only have about 6 weeks before school gets out and I can go back home to California weather. The next few weeks should definitely prove to be interesting....

Spring Break (Part 1)

This past week or so was crazy and amazingly fun. I road-tripped with some friends from school down to my house for a few days of fun SoCal style. The weather was amazing and every day was packed! I didn't get to recuperate much after midterms, but it was really great to go home and show friends around where I live and hang out when I'm not at school.

I really like how Phil is asleep behind me in this picture.... :]

sunrise. we drove for about 22 hours to get home....

Alloy cardigan
Urban Outfitters sandals
strawberry-printed dress from K-Mart (borrowed from Hayley)
I love how Lelsy and Phil are creeping in this picture. :]
Even though it was two weeks away at the time, we had my birthday party at home. This was my cake. I'm very proud.

We went down to Balboa Island in Newport and went to the beach and hung around my grandparent's house.
Urban Outfitters tank top

Balboa Bars and frozen bananas!

And then we went to the Happiest Place on Earth.... DISNEYLAND!!!!

I love my pig pillow, but the giraffe ones were sooo tempting....
Twins in a tea cup!

Yeah.... it happened. And my mum bought it because she couldn't resist. It's pretty amazing.
The actual road trip pictures are gonna have their own post. We spent about three or four days on the road back to school and just got back yesterday evening. Things to look forward to: antique arcade games and a pretty distinct change in my appearance, as well as my BEST FRIEND!!!!
