'X' equals....

The things that my hall does at 11:30 at night....

Yes, that's the Quadratic Formula in tramp-stamp form. And yes, I'm proud of it.

only Tuesday

I returned to taking pictures in my dorm room again today. But it's been colder the past few days and I have massive amounts of homework to get done. So it's just easier when I'm giving my eyes a rest from staring at books all day. Today was the first day in a few that I woke up and didn't feel gross and sick-ish. But I'm still exhausted. And it's only Tuesday....

Good news this week is that I finally got out and bought new tights. They have this awesome crocheted/ribbed pattern going on that I really like. I didn't feel very up to pairing them with any other skirt or dress that I have this morning because I haven't paired these kinds of tights with anything I have before. So black it was! With orange to make it not so dreary.

go daytrippin'

It was sunny and relatively warm today! So Hayley dragged me out of my room to meet her friend from out of town for a bit. And I didn't have to wear tights or a coat today! It was glorious! And Hayley graciously took pictures for me today at the Look Out.

So my skirt is actually a smock tube top.... But I like it both ways! And it gives me more options for outfits. Now back to cleaning and reading for classes!

and I'm sleeping on the balcony after class

Today was a pretty good day. I dropped a class that I don't really need to be taking right at this moment in my college career and that would have just put more stress on my workload this semester than I need. So that's good. And I got to do some acting in my Shakespeare class. This semester should be good, if not really busy!

The chairs in my dorm should be taller.... or I need to get a tripod or find more creative ways to take pictures and better places than my dorm. But it's late. And I still have quite a bit of reading to do before the night is through. So, oh well....

the Goal

So, a while back, I posted this.

I haven't traveled much over my life, but since my Sophomore year of high school when I went to Europe with my choir I've pretty much caught the travel bug. I've been through Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary as well as visited Paris and Rome two summers ago. I miss Europe! I want to go all over the world, but Europe will always be my first love.

My school does quite a bit in the area of study abroad programs. It's partly why I decided to go here with all the opportunities for travel. But I was thinking that I probably wouldn't be able to go on any trips until my Junior year of college.

And then I got an email today.

There's a trip across a good portion of Western Europe for Jan Term next year for one of the required courses to graduate. I'm determined. I'm going.

That email was just what I needed. So that's the goal to get me through the next few months. I have to convince my parents and go to the information meeting an apply for the trip (and probably scholarship money specifically for the trip) and get in and make payments. And in less than a year, I could be on my way across the country and the Atlantic to some of my most favorite places in the world for course credit and some amazing adventures! I'm so excited! I needed this opportunity so bad! I'm praying it all works out!

the stacks are your load

Spring Semester has started! I'm going to be really busy for the next few months. I have lots and lots of reading to do for quite a few classes. But there's also lots of fun things to look forward to over weekends and breaks, including a ride in a tiny air plane in the near future! Here's a glimpse for some of what I'll be reading this semester. Oh boy....
