For NARNIA!!!!

It's days like today and last night that are the reason I so desperately wanted a new camera. I didn't do the picture taking last night, but let's just say that there was black semi-formal wear and unlikely photography locations around town involved. Today I was the photographer. And I've never been happier. I miss being able to just take pictures in a great setting with good weather using a great camera and with fun people. The photography classes I took in high school weren't that great, but I definitely developed a good eye and some pretty sweet photoshop skills during that time.

We traveled to an area on campus called Narnia today and took pictures along the way. I got some great shots of everybody. AND it was 50 degrees and sunny today! It felt a bit like early spring. It was a good day.

(Laura took most of the pictures of me since we were doing quite a bit of walking and setting up the tripod every few feet would've been too much of a hassle....)

Oh How We Love Our Five-Star Walls!

Last night I went with people from my dorm community to the Davenport Hotel in downtown for dessert. We got all dressed up (or as dressed up as we so chose....) and had a really fun time. And then after dessert, some of us walked around the hotel and had fun. Laura and I shared dessert and took a bunch of pictures. She was kinda my date for the night since we've been hanging out all weekend and goofing off. We had lots of fun pretending we were in the Sound of Music and Beauty and the Beast in certain rooms. It was definitely a great experience off campus.

woke up this morning....

When you wake up and don't feel like rolling out of bed and beginning another day, the best thing to do is get dressed with extra special care. I felt a bit over-dressed all day, but it helped me feel better after having this cold for the past few days. Thankfully, it hasn't been a bad cold. I think I just need more sleep. Because sleep is very good.

This weekend was good. Lots of hanging out with great friends and doing random stuff and generally having fun. I think all weekends should be like this.

I have a tendency to try to fit inside dryers.... even at Home Depot.





Hayley does too. :]





I really like making food. Even in our tiny dorm kitchen that's pretty bare. But if you turn on Regina Spektor and make heart-shaped chocolate chip pancakes with Hayley keeping you company, it's some of the best fun ever! That, and eating them for dinner in the Man Cave while you watch Black Hawk Down. However, next time, the boys are supposed to make us food since I've done most of the cooking around here.
